Indy's skyline is actually pretty much right in line with what you would expect from a Midwest MSA of ~2M people.

Its Salesforce Tower is the 7th tallest building in the Midwest (outside of Chicago) and is taller than any building in Columbus, Cincy, Milwaukee, St. Louis, or Kansas City.

Not to get too off topic but yea Indys skyline is relative decent compared to its size...but what about soldiers monument!.... Wish Chicago had something like this somewhere in its downtown ...its something you would see in Rome... Ok back on topic...lol

Hard to believe any Midwestern architecture nerd wouldn't know about this! No offense intended

It'd have been great to break 1,000 ft here, but I'd prefer to see more, smaller towers than one super tall. If a shorter tower here means we can get the parking lots between the Kennedy and Clinton developed, it's a good play.

Was the sheet pile wall already driven in along the river edge with the other two projects or does that still need to be done?

95% sure it has not. This tower has pretty long timetable - over 30 months with early 2023 opening. Believe this is due to in part to some time consuming foundation work required.

^ Haha that's gotta be a minimum of $10k worth of marketing efforts that Geek Squad doesn't have to do!

What an incredible city and an absolutely unreal location for a real estate development.

If anyone has a inside with who's in charge of the oxblue camera for this one can you ask them to hit the reset button. Its the best webcam construction view we got in the city and its paused.

Yeah, they should get one back up soon, since they did the same with wolf point east after wolf point west was completed.

From that perspective, I struggle to see how they'll be able to build that tower there. It doesn't look like enough space!

IT's a bit deceptive when I use the 300mm zoom from a distance, then the 10mm up close.

I don't know how anyone alive to see 150 Riverside go up would say this. It only needs to accommodate the footprint of the tower, this is spacious compared to 150's site...

Well isn't the footprint of this much larger than 150? 150 was unique in that regard.

Haha, you're completely right. I watched that sucker go up as I passed on the Brown line every day for years. But Salesforce just feels bulkier and larger, and in Harry's shots the site plan looks pretty small.

I know it's a matter of depth/perspective, but even before WPE, the entire site looked small for such massive towers. I guess I'm used to the kind of office towers in Chicago that have a boxy heft.
