Messy, but ugliness shouldn't be condoned. It's time for the city to increase prettiness. A mix of tall and ugly towers won't make NY anymore beautiful, it's a delusion. I would hope people don't just want a building to rise because its tall.

It's time for NY to elect Sadiq Khan to weed out some of the shit designs going up. He nixed the tulip, he would nix this and other bad towers in NY, LOL!

NY needs a Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum running the city council. Time to push those mega talls through!

Under his rule, Sunnyside Yards wont take 50 years, it'll be done in 2. Plus he'd keep the NIMBYS in check. Rebuild the BQE and so on. NY needs a visionary like Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Be careful putting your trust in someone else to decide what's good or bad. We at one time had Amanda Burden deciding that the Tower Verre (53w53) didn't cut it, and so the height was cut. Thankfully, the plan to include a design approval in the midtown east rezoning was scrapped.

I still like it.

If you want to talk about trash designs look no further than 4 Times Square.

Some elements I like but the top...could have been better to say the least

Yep, the top 1/3 is what makes it so bad. Then add in the ugly WTC-1-esque spantenna and you have a "Fox-Fowle-Fail" of epic proportions.

Hope they don't build this so tall. Too close to ESB.

Too skinny and weird looking, but I guess it'd be okay if it gets built as it is another 1000+

I think this one is probably dead though?

We can only hope or it gets reduced by a few hundred feet.

I love it. Perfectly compliments the emerging forest of sliver towers south of ESB.

This site is cleared, BTW. No digging yet, though.

I think this tower, like 45 Broad, is waiting for the market to be just right.

I don’t like that windowless profile. They should have gone with SHoP Architects. But you can see the tower itself is not out of place.

I truly hope that this, along with Tower Fifth, is never built. Something will rise on these sites, but hopefully not these hideous Towers of Babel.
