Prince Moving to Atlanta

No, not His Royal Purpleness...Atlanta's thriving tennis community is cited as one of the main reasons, along with Hartsfield-Jackson.

Tennis giant Prince moving headquarters to Atlanta

By J. Scott Trubey
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Prince Global Sports, a giant in tennis and other racquet sports equipment and apparel, plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Atlanta, the company said Thursday.

Prince said it is finalizing a lease on office space in Buckhead, but did not identify the location.

Prince plans to relocate corporate offices from New Jersey. It was not immediately clear how many jobs are involved. Prince is owned by Waitt Co. of Omaha, Neb. Among notable pro tennis players who promote the brand are former University of Georgia standout John Isner.

This could be big for pro tennis in the region as it adds a large company that's willing to sponsor tournaments. Who knows this could lead to bbt championship staying in Atlanta after that contract ends in a few years ,or it could allow that tournament to expand to include a wta event or a permanent venue.
