i basically took the same pics the other day, so i will just post a view from the south.

you can see the also under contruction gansevoort peninsula park pier is in the foreground.

the former sanitation pier is all cleared out, but there is no action on building out the park as yet.

it's nice of course, but i'm rather upset to see they took out the historic little bit of old brick lane stretch of 13th avenue that was still there.

yes and also the two classroom or dorm towers at stevens in hoboken are up and now being cladded just across the river from this crazy pier project.

pier 55 aka the little island broke ground april 2018 and is supposed to open this summer - stay tuned!

i went to the opening and walked over a couple other times -- it's great.

fyi its open 6am-1am every day.

note: you need to arrange a free timed pass for noon to 6pm for now to prevent crowding.

any other times, like mornings or evenings, and you can just walk right in.

^^^ Those 3 food trailers........

The company I work for caters all the food for Little Island.

It’s definitely a interesting place to visit, the views of the WTC are great from the top of the island.
