New Phoenix Photo Thread

See it here:

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=204478

Basically I tried to find a bunch of the remaining "Mansions" along Central Avenue and in north central Phoenix. By mansions I mean large custom houses. Some are part of the old "Millionaire's Row", others are just big old houses like were likely homestead-type dwellings way out in the suburbs at the time.

I found some I didn't know existed, and others are pretty obvious. I took a bit of time comparing old aerials to current aerials to try to find the big custom houses that still remain. There are quite a few up north hidden amongst the 1940s and 1950s and newer houses, I didn't include all of them, especially the semi-smaller ones, and I stayed within the 7s.

What I didn't take time with was getting good pictures of them all. I'm too impatient to spend weeks getting the right picture for each house, and doing post-processing. Enjoy

Awesome album. Next time you're out taking pictures check out some of the big houses in Encanto Palmcroft.
