Interesting pics. We don't see much of Midland on here.

Speaking of Midland, I'm out here for the week. I'm pretty sure no SSPers are from Midland, but if there are any, I'd love to meet up for a drink or something!

I'll get out and drive around town today, see what's interesting... Haha

Hi!

I recently went to Midland and enjoyed looking at the impressive skyscrapers. Several skyscrapers, however, are partially or completely abandoned. The city has done some recent demolition of skyscrapers and turned the former sites into parking lots. Kind of sad. I wrote about it here:

Odessa is pretty nice as well, although Midland is probably nicer looking for the most part.
I've always thought it was too bad Texas Tech wasn't in Midland. I think that would make the city a lot more attractive. It is a nice city regardless, very isolated though. The airport is beautiful.

I used to live in Midland for about 6 years. Very nice city. The oil boom in the 70's can account for the downtown developments. There was once four 500 foot buildings planned for Midland at the peek of the boom. A few of the buildings are empty now but the latest boom could help turn that around.

Great pics of Midland!

Its skyline & population is about the size of Tyler's. Downtown Midland seems just a tab bit more dense however.
