San Francisco apartment fire

An apartment building in Nob Hill got gutted by a fire this morning. Unfortunately quite a few people were displaced, and it looks like it might be arson too (the second arson this week in fact. Another apt. building just a few blocks away in the TL was victim to one on Sunday). I found some pretty good shots of it though, and thought you guys might find them interesting:

So, can the building be saved, or are they just tearing it down?

I think that one has been issued an emergency demolition permit--a few days at most before it's dust.

That's too bad, hopefully something replaces it that fits in with the surroundings and it's not some ugly modern building that clashes with the historic surroundings. Glad nobody got hurt at least, I hope they find the jackoff that started this fire and put him or her away for a long time.
