Insulation panels are being placed today so that the rest of the cladding can go up. Balcony doors were also hung today. The crane has sat idle for two days now with the climbing frame in place. They must be having mechanical problems or are waiting for a part. No crew on top level for two days as well.

One week and no progress being made at the top. The crane has been idle since the 15th. The only work being done is on the lower floors. Outside framing is catching up with top floor.

The jib came down today. I think it is for repair as they had lots of crew looking at a specific spot up there.

Have no worries Surrealplaces, cladding is still rising without the crane. But the last two days has been very slow onsite. Maybe because of the weather or the wind!?

Today they are building the Mammoet crane to take the jib to the top again. I talked with some of the crew and the Mammoet crane rents out at $3000 dollars per hour. Part of the jib was bent during the hydraulic jacking they told me. Here are some pics of the Mammoet crane being built.

Yes he mentioned they went to high with the Hydraulic climbing frame and bent some of the metal bracing. A very costly error.

Pictures from todays crane re-install. Today they took the apex off and added sections, then put apex back up. So the jib is still sitting on the ground. Also a close up of window frames being installed.

Agree. I used to work construction and some crews can be very cruel if you screw up. Something like this will probably not be forgotten. Hopefully they will move past the mistake and carry on.
