I do love those signs. Lots of info. Though it's funny they say "With Parking". As if they're heading off some NIMBY being like OH MY GOD A NEW BUILDING WHERE WILL THESE CARLESS MILLENNIALS PARK?!!?

They patched the gap where the construction elevator was attached quickly. I just walked past here a couple of days ago and none of that space had been filled with exterior panels. I am curious to see what kind of tenant they can get for the ground floor. There really isnt much retail-wise on arch once you get west of 17th.

9/12 update. First section looks about complete. They're installing caissons for the expansion now.

They are pouring concrete at the base of the building addition. The courtyard was being finished along 19th street and the underground parking garage is apparently open. There are signs on arch directing cars into the garage. I was looking for signs of a ground floor tenant but didn't see anything.

One of the tenants is apparently a small business. If you walk down 19th street, you'll look right into their conference room. You'll also see workspaces, etc. Unless that's the building's sales center.

There's a neon Dougherty's sign - which is an eletrical company... not sure if they leased to show off their services? The conference rm is nice, nice video screens - as you can see in one of Summersm343's pics above.

So the exterior and height suck ...but it looks pretty nice at ground level.
I nearly walked right in... door open, no one around:

Furthermore, I noticed in the Patriot Parking lot directly across the street, this is being built in the back - "construction of a 2 story structure for visual exhibit of curtain wall system and ..." all I could make out from the permit (it was blocked off). Owned by Liberty Property ..cost $250,000. Still plenty of room for a big tower - so all is fine with me.

Is that going to be one of those mock ups where they mount the panels and glass to a temporary structure while a skyscraper is being built? Could that be for the CITC?

I was super mislead by the rendering. I thought 1900 Arch was going to do a better job of hiding the hideous monstrosity behind it from the viewpoint of Logan Circle. It's obviously not like this building is an architectural masterpiece but I think it is at least a little better looking. Well, at least a few floors are covered.

This is going to be the mock up facade for the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center. It won't be a permanent structure.

Since the 14 story structure is complete, I am going to move this to the Completed Projects Archive. Any updates on the 11 story addition can be posted in the Philadelphia General Developments Thread.
