That's a shame for BYU. Oh well, at least the state of Utah was 2 out of 3 with bowl wins.

The game blew chunks. Nacua was an idiot and threw a sucker punch, but he was hit before. It was a brawl. Stupid things happen. 68 for memphis was smacking dudes with his helmet.

All emotion, and he will get his punishment.

Uggh, that sucked soooo bad!!!

Nice first season for coach Harsin. Boise State 3-0 in the Fiesta Bowl now. Boise State had to slug it out in the second half but they held on for a nice win.

According to Scout.com:

Utah: 10th in the Pac-12.
Colorado: 12th in the Pac-12.

Go Mountain West!

  • Boise State is the champion of Mountain West regional recruiting, having finished a whopping 46th nationally. Truly inspiring, Broncos. You'll match Bama in no time.
  • Utah finished 53rd.
  • BYU 61.
  • Colorado 75 (the single lowest power conference team in America, and notably below coach Mac's previous team, San Jose State, which finished 66th)
  • Utah State: 96
  • Air Force: 104
  • UNLV: 106
  • Idaho: 111
  • Wyoming: 113
  • Nevada: 114
  • New Mexico State: 118
  • New Mexico: 121
  • Colorado State: 128 (out of 129 total, above only UAB, which canceled its football program this year - great showing Rams)

According to the somewhat more Utah and CU-friendly rivals.com rankings:
  • Pac-12:
  • Utah 8th out of 12.
  • Colorado tied for 11th out of 12 with Oregon State! Tied for last instead of dead last! WOO HOO!
  • National overall:
  • Utah 41
  • Boise State 64
  • BYU 66
  • Colorado 70 (Not last among P5 teams! Ahead of Pitt! But still below San Jose State's 60th)
  • UNLV 99
  • Air Force 101
  • Wyomong 102
  • Nevada 116
  • Idaho 120
  • New Mexico 120
  • Colorado State 122 (so much higher)
  • Utah State 126 (so much lower)
  • New Mexico State 128

Gotta give CU credit - made a hell of a hire at DC:

Sources: Buffs hire new defensive coordinator - Jim Leavitt

Yeah, Leavitt is great news. Really strong hire.

Doesn't CU threaten to pull out of the CSU series every couple of years?

Yup, but this time they have changed their season ticket policy to allow for holders to buy additional home game tickets instead of mandating them to buy RMS tickets. Many think this is a move to kill attendance (even further), allowing them (CU) to opt out of the contract sooner than 2020 (or whenever it ends).

The RMS may be good for Colorado (the state), but it has never been a benefit to CU. It's lose-lose. And most would agree it's time to take a break.

Yeah, that game was lame. Michigan's QB was atrocious.
