A joint venture between Houston-based Interfin Cos. and Houston-based Pierpont Capital is planning to build a new luxury high-rise condominium with floor plans larger than any other in Houston.

Inter-Pier LLC’s plans for the structure, to be named Belfiore and located on Post Oak Lane, between San Felipe and Woodway, show it will stand 26 stories with only two homes per floor, totaling 44 residences and two penthouses.

Each home spans about 4,650 square feet, in addition to 700 square feet of terrace, with an average base price of about $600 a square foot.

Construction is expected to begin in early 2014 with a targeted completion for spring 2016.

The companies have seen high demand for the product, said Giorgio Borlenghi, president of Interfin Cos. Both penthouses and 12 condos have already sold.
Amenities on the property include a 24-hour concierge service, underground parking garage, swimming pool, manicured garden and private dog park. The developer did not disclose the price of the project.

The general contractor for the project will be Ludlow & Associates, and the designer is Kirksey Architecture. The landscape designer is Clark Condon & Associates.

Interfin Cos. has built several other high-rise residential structures in the Houston area, including Four-Leaf Towers, Villa d’Este Condominium and Montebello.

The McNair Group and Hudson Brothers Real Estate Limited Partnership are also involved with the project.

Are you sure? I thought that was a very woodsy area, just north of the main part of Uptown. I'd look on Streetview but I can't get Google Earth to boot up.

Based on Streetview it's not as overgrown as the rendering. It is woodsy though.

Not bad for a project whose units sell for $600 a sf.

Breaking Ground

Mar 3, 2014, 2:46pm CST

Luxury Uptown condos sell out by over half before groundbreaking

Jenny Aldridge
Reporter-
Houston Business Journal

Luxury in Houston is about to get more spacious, causing buyers to quickly pull out their checkbooks.

Houston-based Interfin Cos. broke ground last week on its joint venture, a luxury high-rise condominium in Uptown, which features floor plans larger than any other in Houston.

It's already 60 percent sold out.

The tower will sit on 2 acres at the southeast corner of Post Oak Lane and South Wynden Drive, between San Felipe Street and Woodway Drive.

Designed by Houston-based Kirksey Architecture, Belfiore, a 26-story tower, will feature only 46 residences, including two penthouses, with two homes per floor. Each home spans about 4,650 square feet, in addition to 700 square feet of terrace, starting at $2.5 million. Construction is expected to be completed by spring of 2016.

I didn't get the crawler crane in the picture. I assume there will be a tower crane out there in about a month.
