Breathtaking!

One of these days, I'm going to let someone else drive the car heading back into the City from Marin, because there is nothing in this country quite as spectacular as the views as you come out of the tunnel. I want pictures!

i love the index. it for me is the kind of skyscraper that would dominate any skyline, except this one of course. haha. i would love to have that tower in calgary.

Wow...just got finished going through this entire thread for the first time. All great shots, but I have to say that SYDNEY is the city that I came away wanting to visit more than any. I've always wanted to go to Australia, but Sydney in particular, I am now chomping at the bit to experience. It seems to be a metropolis that is perfectly in harmony with nature. Absolutely gorgeous...

This photo was shared just a couple pages back, but is this REALLY Santa Cruz, Bolivia??! I mean, I've never been there. But isn't Bolivia supposed to be extremely mountainous and very poor? This shot looks like freaking suburban Miami or something.

LOL that IS suburban Miami. That is Tamiami Airport with SW 137th to the left, Kendall Dr in the forground (the big box store at the bottom of the screen is a Target at Kendall Dr and SW 147th Ave).

artitetek,

other than a bit weak in color, for the ht and spance of the down town, this is the best view of down town memphis that i have ever seen. it still doesn't get in the st. jude medical center, harbor town, and none of the south district and highrises, it is a much more interesting study of desnity and depth in the cbd and the rest of downtown. i wish they would get the buildings back in that have been gone so long for new construction.

arti, since you knoe hoe to do all of this stuff, i wish you would put the aerial of harbor town, by bill cobb, urban photos. he has a great one that shows the juxtaposition of the island community to north downtown.

thanks for this posting. btw, the person who posted that beautiful picture of downtown philly, cudos. it is one of my favorite cities, and it seems to get so much dogging.

I didn't know Philly had that much really unbroken urban fabric (without the marks of urban renewal, etc.).

and so is Brazil, but it isnt that shitty in the photos I posted last page

but anyway, that obviously IS NOT Bolivia. If it looks like Miami suburbs to you, that is because Miami suburbs usually look like Miami suburbs

edit: just noticed Dave already confirmed its indeed Miami.
