Love that Bishopsgate Tower

What an imaginative building! The top evokes an amusement park ride, albeit in an elegant and sophisticated way. Hope it turns out as well in real life!

According to British Land, this will reach the construction stage next month. Piling and foundation work will begin at ground level, whilst demolition continues overhead. Here's a rendering I did, showing how the skyline might appear in 2009 -

Great rendering! I love this building but even more I love The Bishopsgate Tower (or The Pinnacle, whatever). I love London!

Temporary steelwork is going up around the base. This will be used to support the remaining floors as they are taken down -

I'm reliably informed that piling work has started on site... this tower is now officially u/c

How they organise a build like this in the area it's in is pretty damn amazing!
