Most (new) minor league stadiums cost between $25 million and $75 million to develop.
I overestimated a little ($150 million to $200 million), but I based that on two other Prominant downtown ballparks in Buffalo, NY and in Memphis, TN, which cost $112 million and $110 million respectively (including inflation). That was a mistake on my part.

After looking at all of the downtown BP's built since 2000, I would estimate the cost somewhere in-between $75 million and $125 million.

Remember, we are talking about a Ballpark that will have to steal/draw in a Triple-A club.

Would have been nice if that wall had some windows on it. Just my two cents worth.

I forget where I read it but if I remember correctly they said there would be an art piece that would wrap around the side of the convention center.

With the trees and the Convention Center name, it won't be such at eyesore. But there could have easily been some shops or restaurants there.

"Located in one of the most representative areas of San Antonio, Texas, this project includes the renovation of this area in order to give life again to this place. A five star hotel and a shopping area will contemplated."

Maybe it's just a bad translation, but I think an international architectural design firm should be able to write better sentences than this.

That's exactly the reason. They are a legit firm who have done tremendous projects. No need for that type of snarky comment.

But their entire website is in English. Sorry, but effective communication is important, and it bothers me when I read sentences that hurt my brain.

The rendering has “zero chance” of being built, said Andres Andujar, CEO of the Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corp., a nonprofit that is rebuilding the park.

“That’s complete speculation on their part,” Andujar said.

No way anything that cool and modern would happen here.

I'm hopeful we'll get some very attractive buildings, glass or otherwise.

It's also cool that they threw the design out there as a rough concept. Even if it doesn't happen, it has apparently gotten peoples' attention and gotten them thinking about bold designs for downtown.

Not going to happen???? I knew this would be to good to be true! Probably it cast a shadow on the riverwalk.
On another note, not a fan of the Alamodome renderings, it's first renderings that came out a few months ago are way better. The new additions don't even look like they belong with the existing structure.

Look on the bright side with the Alamodome renderings.

At least the awkward grey/red additions will get rid of all of those pesky green trees on the West side of the building. -___-
