Lol, Spiderman is just meaningless. Early Marvel movies are too old. Sometime by the mid 2000s, right? I can't even remember him.

oui, spiderman is just sans signification.

bien sur, we need more tres bien heros, like valerian and the city of a thousand yawns.

because that is so meaningful.

I don't know whether you realize, but I'm so clueless about what you're talking about that I have to google it. Luc Besson sucks. He's been sued for harassing female teenagers here in France. He's an old sucker.

I'll tell you what, be no movie goer anyway, unless something kinda underground suddenly gets hugely advertised 'cause it'd really be genius.

Like Quentin Tarantino in the 1990s, most famously. The dude came out of nowhere back then, but his movies are really funny and entertaining. Screenplays and dialogs are ultra neat in his movies.
If you don't like nasty Tarantino-like things, you're just not the (or my personal) type of superhero.

You heard it here folks, Rome fell because of their fairy tales. Not because they were trying to maintain a global empire.

I simply never heard of that guy.
Who the fuck is that?

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ctor-clouseau/

That old fart looks like the former keeper of my building. Some sort of pervert that would search your garbage just to know about what you eat or whatever.
Thank goodness, the old creepy jerk was replaced by a younger guy who is way cooler 4 months ago. My new young keeper doesn't mind about you. He won't search your garbage.

I guess there's still a cultural gap between some of us on here.

And make no mistake. You know damn well who is retarded here. When you can challenge me in my mother tongue, I might listen to you.
Freaks...

Never heard of the Pink Panther? More like a generational gap thing. It came out before most of us were even born but most of have at least heard of it.

Certainly you heard the theme

Here's a page in the book that featured Houston's skyline.

why don't we all just make one up from scratch..Play on your city's character, existing celebrities that could become one. Current event oriented. As well, your city's needs and weaknesses...Make it satirical.,The cool ones like Batman for Chicago are taken anyways..Even villains could be mentioned.

Gotham is not Chicago.

Not even inspired by. Chicago played it in a movie once or twice, but Gotham is literally New York's moniker. There's no ambiguity that Gotham is New York.

Asterix and Obelix are the Parisian superheroes in my book.

As for Chicago... we have Obama.

But Canadians do seem burdened with a near-pathological inability to take great ideas that are born here, and go all the way with them by themselves (ie without the Americans).

That's the main reason why these types of debates never go away.

Ah yeah, but their village is actually located in Armorica, which was the ancient name or ancient whatever for Brittany.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armorica

Of course, it's just a tiny couple of hundred miles away from Paris, and you get there either by train or by car very easily from Paris, so it's pretty much the same to you.
However, if you told the Britons they are Parisians... I don't really know how they would appreciate it. Each French region just has their very own temper and traits.
That's normal and fair.

It's true that the French comics has some sort of easy lighthearted sense of humor.
For instance, beside stereotypes that are mostly innocent and cute, I always found funny the fact that fatty Obelix would be completely dumb because he accidentally fell in the magic potion as a baby.
Lol, the thing is the dude had a very bad overdose of their dope when he was only a toddler, then he is forever retarded as an aftereffect / aftermath.
It actually makes sense, doesn't it?

Their characters are always cool anyway. Even the villains (namely the ancient Romans) are not so bad in there.
