This renovation was originally scheduled to be complete in January.
But obviously, they're not going to make that target.

This is the area just south of Razzoo's.
A dessert eatery and some small shops along with a Chicken Salad Chick are scheduled to go into this spot.

400 N. Walnut

This project is approaching the finish line:

The interior is coming along nicely - and the surrounding landscaping is taking shape as well.

This is looking really sharp.
Not bad for a 100 year old building.

And even when this is finished, there'll be a ton of activity across the street.
The new Level East apartments will begin construction later this year.
(will be to the left of the black gate in the last photo)

Peerson, once again, great stuff! OKC is essentially the only place in Oklahoma carrying the state forward at this time. Every other metro except Lawton is loosing jobs and population unfortunately and that includes Tulsa. Hopefully OKC can stay on fire long enough for other cities in the state to get their shit together.

I really do appreciate the amount of work you put into these posts! I am in town and I plan on going around town and getting some pictures of a few projects.

My top favorite projects ATM are Oak, Rother Shrine, Lincoln Plaza, First National Center, and Coope Ale Armory Redevelopment. PS the last development(State Armory) took a step forward as it was given a historical designation. Per Pete of OKCTalk, permits have been filed.

^Thanks plutonic!

My favorite projects are any that are actually under construction.
Renderings are nice, but there's nothing like seeing cranes and hard hats in action.

If you do make it town and take some nice photos, feel free to post them here.

Here's a nice twilight shot of the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center:

Just a short distance west of Chisholm Creek, the Carvana auto tower recently opened.
This is described as a "vending machine" for purchasing cars.

Pedestrian Bridge over Northwest Expressway

A pedestrian bridge is to built over NW Expressway near Wilshire Blvd.
This is a very busy section of town with (frankly) poor walkability.

There are some bike and walking trails in the surrounding area -- with more coming.
But connecting them was difficult without a path across NW Expressway.

Anyone can tell you: crossing NW Expressway on bicycle or foot is a scary (and dangerous) undertaking.

The new bridge will connect those various trails together.
It will also provide access to the future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route that is coming in a couple of years.
This will be an extremely welcome addition to the area.

Location:

A few months back, the city released a few images showing some design submissions for the bridge.

https://www.okctalk.com/showthread.php?t=45403

It was just learned a few days ago that the entry entitled "The Expressway" has been chosen.
ADG has released some renderings for the new bridge.

https://www.okctalk.com/content.php?...estrian-bridge

The bridge will be 130' long.
Ramps will be provided for access to the disabled (and cyclists) in addition to the steps.

Assuming the design is approved by the City Council (almost a guarantee), the construction will start in the fall.
