Wow, those aerials are very cool. Heck of a wide beach in that 1st one. What do they use the 2 stadiums to play? I guess I missed all the activity on this sub forum since I haven't checked it in a while. Must have gotten quite busy from the SSC shut down.

Between India and China, I'm surprised there's any building materials left for the rest of the world.

Smile DLF IT Park

On a visit to Chennai today, I was able to grab a hurried shot of the DLF IT Park at Manapakkam. This 5 million sft facility will be one of the biggest single location IT parks in India when complete in 3 years time. One of the 500,000 sft blocks seems to be near completion and the next nearing civil structural completion. Shapoorji is doing double-quick work here.

Nice pictures of Chennai's new development, but its hard to experience the real Chennai without going there. I just came back a couple months ago from a trip to India, and Chennai was a major stop. The city is teeming with people, auto rickshaws, noise, crumbling buildings, new glassy tech parks.....it's is most chaotic place I've ever seen. But at the same time, it's fascinating, because somehow the city manages to keep going despite the apparent craziness. Indian cities are truly an amazing experience, especially for Westerners, who could never deal with that level of urbanity.
