Lets get some more buildings into this thread.
Surprisingly, I did not build this first one but I did build the house following it.

Here is a 5.3 foot high replica of Detroit's second tallest building: Comerica Tower:

Tim Inman from Los Angeles built this! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/68095

This would not have much of an impact on a skyline but every city needs a few houses. Here is my most recent creation: an Indian Village mansion:

I took this picture. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/65068

I had to take a break from building large expensive skyscrapers but I plan to resume soon as long as I still have a job (I'm from Michigan).

Wow,this thread is now on it's 16th page. I don't believe I have ever seen this much discussion pertaining to Lego skyscrapers in any of the online Lego communities.

Currently I am working on two more microscale (1:650-ish) landmark towers. Since I design and build at a snail's pace it may be a couple of months before they are finished. I will post them here.

One will be my tallest model, and the other, my most beautiful....

That's all the clues you guys are getting!

It took me awhile to realize what you meant. At first I thought you wanted a brochure that happened to be green but you actually mean this:
http://shop.lego.com/ByCategory/Prod...p=10185&cn=233
(Green Grocer)

It is interesting that the Green Grocer, Market Street, and Corner Cafe sets all seem to represent a dense and active urban ideal that many people on SSP espouse.

Since you have already built Taipei 101, one would have to assume it will be a new supertall like the Shanghai WFC or the Burj Dubai (don't tell me it is the CN tower or a radio mast!)

As for the most beautiful, that is very subjective, so it could be anything!

So,Jsr, I wanted to ask you some questions.

Whats the tallest model youve ever made? do you have plans on making one taller?

What was your favorite thing youve ever built?

What do you think is the ,most beautiful building youve ever built or are building?

please try to answer the questions as thouroughly as possible.

A 5 foot high Lego model of the Hong Kong Bank of China built by David Drake:

More pictures: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/71217

The main difficulty with the Bank of China is the triangular shapes. The builder seems to have met that challenge.

Here are two LEGO skyscraper models from experienced builder Jonathan Eric Hunter:

Essex House (NY)

This picture provided by Mr. Hunter: More pictures: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/45476

This is a very nice commissioned model but it does make it easier when someone else is paying for the bricks and labor (my envy is showing).

Burj Dubai

This picture provided by Mr. Hunter: More pictures: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/71962

That makes two Lego skyscrapers (not directly associated with the Legoland parks or stores) of which I am aware that are taller than my Penobscot building (curses!). Both are models of the Burj Dubai! This one is 18 feet high and Adam Tucker's version (seen at Brickworld) is 16 feet high.

Mine tend to be lacking in the facade and floor department. Oh well.

------------------------------------------------------------------->(modeled very vaguely on waterview)

Two towers makes a skyline, right?

stupid FAA height 'ceiling'...

Interesting Lego find. Not a skyscraper, but it's tall and beautiful...
