Seems during the 30s/40s there were acreages along crowchild, you can still see some at the south end of Dalhousie and Rocky Ridge.

Also for trivia:
NW of Ranchlands the highway was where Eamons Rd is now.
Between the mid point of Ranchlands and Shaganappi the road followed the present day Crowchild ROW
South of that, it followed the path of Brentwood Green and Brentwood Rd, then Morley Trail down to 24th avenue eastward, then 16th st south, then 23rd ave eastward to 14th street which would have been the city limits
(in 1924)
