TOLEDO – Nightsky’s daytrip to the Spanish beautiful historic city

Iglesia de San Ildefonso, more known as Jesuits Church. There are great views from the top, but I didn't have to get up, since I had just one hour left until the train should leave for Madrid. It was completed in 1718 and was built in Baroque style.


The Jesuits Church with its twin spires is the 2nd most magnificent church after the gothic cathedral.

I see you liked Toledo. It´s a pretty historic city, besides near to Madrid, only one hour away from the capital. Its streets, the cathedral, the Alcázar. It´s a nice place to spend a day, to have lunch there.

Next time you have to go to Segovia, and you´ll enjoy it so much as Toledo. It´s a wonderful city too. Well, next time.

Thanks! I like Toledo, but it was a bit hard to navigate with all the narrow streets and hills. We planned to see Segovia as well, but wrong information at the hotel and the station plus a other things made us miss Segovia.

Toledo looks better through your camera than in person! If you like Spain then I must recommend Bilbao, Oviedo, Salamanca and Sevilla. My favourite Spanish cities.

Great photos. My girlfriend and I were in Madrid last week and we took a day trip to Toledo. It's a stunningly beautiful city. I was also impressed that people are able to go from Madrid - Toledo, a distance of about 45 miles in 30 minutes on the Renfre trains. I like the US but we really need to get it together.

very nice -- and quite a difference from the ohio toledo, which btw does have its charms, (the old west end, although hardly old by the o.g. toledo spain standards , and it's museum & zoo)!

Have never been to Ohio, but there is actually a street named after Toledo Ohio in Toledo, Spain (Calle de Toledo de Ohio)!
