Centene 2 nearing the topping off point. Should set the new height mark for Clayton soon now. Additionally, we have glass going up! (Bottom right in this photo)

it's nuts how much this building looms over university city, at least driving south on hanley. for people not oriented, it's the municipality immediately adjacent on the right of that photo up that street at the base of the building (which is hanley).

6/13/18 update. Glass has made its way around the North side of the tower through the first 4 floors.

With the addition of this building and Centene 3 in the pipeline slated to go even taller, Clayton is starting to become visible from new parts of the metro area. Below picture from 6/14/18 from Hampton Village in South City St. Louis.

Great shot by danke0 over at urbanstl. This isn't the tallest tower (although a new tallest for Clayton) but this development is quite expansive. Third and Fourth phases will increase it even larger.

Update from Quincunx over at urbanstl.com. Getting close to topping out as the new tallest.

This only has about a half a floor to go till it's topped off. I love the look from Forsyth and Maryland. It doesn't make it look so chunky. When viewed from other angles, it looks like a plain old box or a very large rectangle. This should be topped out by Wednesday.

There appears to be a handful of steel beams left to be placed on the main tower. Elsewhere, the parking garage is coming together, and as newstl2020 said above, excavation and demolition has begun on the residential portion. I think this is going to look exceptional once all the buildings go up. I am thinking that it shouldn't be much longer to will hear something on the Residential Tower along Carondelet and the next round of skyscrapers at the wedge site behind the Ritz Carlton. Here are some photos from today from varying angles. The first is from nearly same spot as the photo I posted above.

Here are the new angles...

Excuse my ignorance, just tuning in. Is this project two buildings or one?

This particular phase of the Centene development includes a corporate auditorium, two parking garages, apartments and the office tower (seen). Future phases include 4 more towers. 2 100% office, 1 75% office and 25% hotel and the other all residential. The whole project should be done by 2025 according to Centene.

Oh, I see. What I thought was a second building is a parking garage.

Cool project. Never been to Clayton but based on the pics this looks to be a game changer for downtown.

Structure is topped off. Glass nearing completion. One of the largest office towers completed in the Midwest outside of Chicago this decade.
