Holy Crap!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen a more stunning thread of Houston's skyline(s) ever. So many of the shots are so vivid it is almost unreal. Kudos to all the photographers as well.

I swear, I would drive all the way downtown just so that I could look at Houston's skyline over and over again.

yeah..but u can't see them becuase they're taking the pictures. j/k

I haven't been living in Houston for that long, and most of the times i've been downtown it's usually empty. But then i found out about the extensive tunnel system in downtown:

flickr Airburst

it's crazy full down there!! Kinda scary too. ghost town up top and all these crazy moles "down" town.

You must have been there on a Sunday morning. I think forumers have had this discussion many times. Downtown Houston can be jammed packed with people and traffic, depending on the time of day and day of week.

the ghost town occured on saturday morning, except for discovery green..jammed packed!. I have family visiting from out of town and they're completely surprised at how "quite" this big city is. The place everyone really seems to like is the village. You actually see people shopping and walking outdoors. I love that place too.

My Dad lives a couple of blocks from the Village (West University). Yep, it really is a cool place.

I usually think of Houston "overall" as chaotic and anything but quiet. But I would say Austin's downtown is a lot busier than Houston's, at least at this point. Houston does have a lot of quiet, very peaceful residential neighborhoods where it's hard to believe you're right in the middle of a big city.

I agree. People keep talking about Houston is still this laid back city and I don't see it. I see it as a city becoming more hectic and the pace becoming faster on every visit.
