Sak off fifth is a great store. Honestly some awesome deals to be had. I am also a big fan of Nordstroms Rack. Very much like winners but I think that the brand name selection is much better.

Just call me a Brand Whore!

One problem with having a Coach outlet store in the area is that, as a flight attendant, for takeoff and landing, I have to ask the ladies to stow their beloved Coach purses on the floor underneath the seat in front of them or in the overhead bin, neither of which they are willing to do (understandable, of course, due to the carpet not always being the cleanest, and the inability to keep tabs on their purses when in the overhead bins). What to do?!?! Just thinkin' out loud, of course.

Explain to them that it's just a friggin purse, and we live in a winter climate. Dirt is going to come into contact with it occasionally. Yeesh, I get nearly strip-searched due to non-existent security threats and you actually meet people who don't understand the danger of flying debris?

Coach purses aren't all that nice or expensive anyway. But this is a typical attitude of people who don't really have that much money, but have blown a bunch on some vanity item and can't afford anything to happen to it (see also: certain semi-luxury car owners in this city who insist on parking their vehicle at an angle so as to avoid marks).

You guys have spent about ten times as much space talking about Coach than we ever spent talking about Cupcakes.

Don't worry, there's enough of an crossover in the Coach/cupcake market segments that I'm sure we'll see some cupcake-related news soon.

So true. I've never considered that there could be so many dudes in one place talking about goddam handbags.

I am happy to say that I know nothing about Coach or Louis Vuitton other than their names.

Well at least the discussion is taking place in a proper RETAIL thread as opposed to the totally inappropriate CONSTRUCTION thread. And who knows, some of the posters here may not be dudes, but dudettes!

it was tidy but i mean the store itself was bare bones nothing fancy compared to say the ralph lauren outlet store or coach outlet stores
it was just racks, minimal everything else some tables and display racks thats about it no nice fixtures or paint or decor done

No Beard Papa here yet (they are in West Ed though for those venturing north) but we do have Cruffs on 4th Street in Mission.

See Urban Spoon page:

Beard Papa? That is the strangest/creepiest name, but those cream puffs sure do look good.

As PW says, it's called being married. Or close enough for horseshoes.

I was down in the Ikea area last night and had a chance to walk through the pedestrian outdoor circulation food area (opa, fat burger, avacade etc...). These pedestrain malls are very empty at night and these types of developments only seem to work if there are condos or houses within walking distance. Im sure they are very busy during the day for the industrial and construction crowd but at night.....wow.....nothing but two people in each place. The plus side is that the absolutley stacked out plates at the OPA souvlaki place!! It is kind of a shame that there are not more of these complexs in the beltline area...... the spacial organization was great and was a very comfortable environment (complete with trees, benches) but just no one there.....what a waste. The owners are practically begging for people to eat there for dinner.

Anyway......
