Speaking of cranes, you can now see this crane, Arthaus's crane and Live! Hotel and Casino's crane from the Commodore Barry Bridge

^I see what you (Londonee) mean about having multiple cranes at sites in other parts of the globe. Dubai, Atlantis II - good lord.

With all the new construction of town houses and towers already in the area
; there was a real need for another huge supermarket right there at 23rd street and Race. I love this project because is the final touch on creating a complete neighborhood.

Indeed. With Giant, you won't go broke either. They have high quality foods and selections and good prices to boot. I'm a fan. I think it fits nicely with the neighborhood.

That's crazy. But you don't need to go to slave-labor driven Dubai to see it either. Large development sites all over Europe with 4, 5, or 6 cranes.

Trust me, it is rising, i think i counted 10 floors now for the core. Slowly but surely.

There's zero going on at the second tower though.

I hope they don't wait till the northern first tower is finished before moving to the next one. Imagine paying top rent to move into a massive, active construction zone for 3 years?

That's actually exactly what they're doing. PMC is waiting until the first tower is wrapping up to continue the second tower. It's for leasing purposes, so they don't have to lease up all units at once, they're going to space it out over 2-3 years. Which makes sense.

Hence why you only see one tower crane. They're just going to dismantle that one when the North tower is wrapping up, and move it over or put another crane on the south tower.

^IIRC, the supermarket and garage are part of the North Tower, separated by a drive aisle from the South Tower. It may be busy/noisy, but I don't think it will be very difficult for residents/customers to coexist with construction.
