They need to run a spur to Ft. Myers/Naples. I realize that's quite unlikely but if AAF is as successful as we all think they will be, maybe we will see the public clamoring for new rail lines that provide service all over the state. It's happening in Virginia, they've had success increasing service to stations in the state and are now expanding passenger rail to places that haven't had it for decades (ie the Roanoke expansion)
Plus if they made it to Ft. Myers/Naples it's then only 130 miles more to connect to Tampa. There's already the possibility of a planned expansion to Tampa (from Orlando) right? I'm sure that's at least a decade away.
