aww no no no you are not there during cherry blossom time! so jelly. i miss kyoto. talk about a place that beckons you to come back regularly, kyoto is it.

come to think of it, i believe the cherry blossoms are in full bloom now in dc as well. soon for us in brooklyn and newark i hope!

I was about to come to Kyoto last weekend for the full bloom as well, but backed out at the last minute due to the clouds and rain weather forecast.

I was lucky as I only had rain one afternoon and then on the day of my departure.

It was nice being there during the cherry blossoms season, but that comes at a very high cost since my hotel room was 28.000 yen per night

Great pictures! I'm guessing not all of these pictures are from now. Good timing showing the cherry blossoms, if that's the case!

They are all from now (2nd to 5th of April to be exact)

Okay. The bamboo grove one threw me off. I had to figure out after you said that these are all from this month why one picture was so lush.

Rain doesn't ruin Kyoto, but the opposite. I found all the shrines and temples much more like a fairy tale in rain. Pouring rain at Fushimi Inari-taisha is one of the best experiences I have had.

Great photos, by the way!
