The floor of the arena is going to be 16' below street level, and the roof is going to be 150' above the floor, or about 134' above street level.

What's really cool about the arena and the court being below street level and the aircraft hangar doors is that the Kings will be able to use the delta breeze to cool the arena. They're actually in discussion with the league about being the only semi-open air arena in the country.

looks like the temp supports for the beginning of the roof beams is in place.....soon the roof frames.......

hmmmm I sense the Hotel block will not open "with" the arena like is still stated publicly.

Taken 12-14-2015. Playing catch-up, been extra busy and out of town the last
couple weeks. I don’t think to much has changed. Happy New Year!

Cool shots!

I laugh when people in the media say the arena is going to change the skyline. Unless the Golden 1 Center is 15 stories high, the arena can't be made out from anywhere except at street level and parts of I-5 - barely.

Love the first one. With the wetlands and the snowy mountains in the background.

Someone posted this in a Sacramento History group I'ma member of on Facebook! Of course, the first comment was some garbage about how I-5 was a better investment than the Sacramento Kings arena. But, just enjoy the picture and forget those yahoos are out there!
