really liking the top of this. its a perfect finale to a fantastic construction show we have had. i haven't enjoyed watching tower construction so much since, oh, i would have to go back to worldwide plaza (because of the great pbs documentary about it's construction).

besides height, this tower has being such a work of cool minimalism artwork going for it. i'm so glad to see it's keeping that all the way through to the end, which is as it should be.

Jesus, I'm getting beaten to posting my own pics. Don't know how I feel about that.

From 138th:

From Jersey:

And from Mott Haven:

Wonder how cold it is for those guys working in the areas that are still "open" with no windows. The wind has got to be a killer. Props to them, they are way tougher than I am. Here I am not looking forward to the 15 minutes I spend each morning taking my daughter to the bus stop.

@kznyc2k:

Your NJ shot is one of a kind. The angle/vantage point especially is one I've never seen.
The way Midtown peeks over the hill is always a classic.

FTR I reiterate: There seems to be no viewpoint that makes this tower look in any way out of place or domineering. Dominating? Ye betchie.

Not sure if this time lapse has been posted here before, but it's super cool. I remember when this was just a pit and we were all anxious to watch it go up, then it shot up like a weed. http://www.432parkavenue.com/new-con...e-lapse-video/

Thanks Dendenden for posting that time lapse vid of 432 Park Ave. Interesting to see the core jumps and then the following construction surrounding the core, so clearly.

Pictures do NOT do this justice. This building is so impressive in person.
