They might be wise to hire some ex-cons with experience tunnelling out of prisons using spoons... would probably be quicker.

Depends if you also include the possible wrath of a drug lord for authenticity (thinking of the recent escape in Mexico). Decapitation for job performance failure among other possible repercussions for jail time and the non-consensual activities that happen in such a place might be a tad extreme for Canadian Labour laws.

FourthTower... you're quite mercurial when it comes to this project. One week, you're lauding progress and gleeful about Regina getting a new tallest, the next you're bemoaning the slow pace and questioning if it'll ever get done... Just take a deep breath and relax.

Ya, Colliers Centre is a disaster for them. Their partner, Mady, went tits up. The comings and going of Fortress has been well documented in the SkyCity thread. Probably more in the original thread which was removed. Mady was also involved with SkyCity originally.

They're crooks, have been convicted prior to Fortress being formed of various offences. Easily searchable on the internet. Basically they skim a profit right of the hop. They look for investors, charge a "fee" and who cares if the project actually gets built, as it really has no impact on them. But they do have some developments which were completed. You can check their website.

Edit: haha Cyro's got it.

Well that sounds good. Hopefully that hole speeds up.

Not to keep going on SkyCity. But they've said they have sold over 50% of the units. When in fact they havent from what everyone can tell. Still in the 160's out of 388. Target is about 200 units by end of 2016. If they were over 50%, their target sales would be reached. But they haven't reached it yet. Seems sales have stalled. So they may be trying to entice buyers by saying "oh look we've already reached our sales target. this thing is for sure a go. Give us your money NOW so you don't miss out."

I'm sure you folks have learned with Mr. Black. "oh we're for sure for sure for sure starting.' then nothing for a year. "oh look we have a permit". then permit expires.

They've really dug far in the past week. The south side in particular has had a ton of dirt removed.

I have not seen any action or people at this site since last Thursday. I assumed they all took a long weekend, but there is still nobody there this morning. Does anybody know what is happening at the Capital Point site?

I looked the other day and they have made better progress on the hole than I thought. But still not halfway. No way are they done digging by the end of October. Roughriders win another Grey Cup before this is done.

Pictures taken around lunch time on September 8th:

No visible work happening on site and it is a complete mud hole. The general contractor really needs to spend some money on gravel or crusher dust for the earthen ramp; otherwise, the site will not be accessible by large equipment for a week after every time it rains, further delaying the project.

Well, if Graham or PCL were the contractor, things would be far further along.
