Now at 6.3 meters

http://www.environment.alberta.ca/ap...ionID=RNSASEDM

Still rising in Drayton Valley but starting to easy off at Rockie. We could see another 1-2 meters here.

noticed on the live feed they are staring to remove stuff from the work areas.

So much faster than I had expected. Per day late penalties seem to provide incentive!

Winter in Alberta meaning any time between Labour Day weekend and New Year's Day ...

Still, personally much more impressed than I had expected to be with the speed of progress.

Great pic Dave, the bridge deck is getting built so quick, I would give it just a couple more weeks till the whole span is connected.

Interesting that they worked so late last night. Yesterday morning they were installing a cable and by lunch they started installing the spans. Usually they were doing one span then waiting. So I guess they are now pushing to get things done.

Fines for each day late will encourage that sort of work schedule!

You would figure they would work late at the beginning of the project and give themselves time at the end. But Construction never works that way. we always take our time then scramble at the end. I have only one project that is actually going to be done early.

I agree, but the argument is "Why pay OT early when you might have pristine conditions that would allow you to finishing on time and in scope."
