It's only about a week since we've had Julius Shulman pictures of an apartment complex in Palos Verdes, and this one's more conventional. The description calls them "Palos Verdes Apartments", but the title says "
Porto Verde Apartments". It's
"Job 4719: Kamnitzer and Marks, Palos Verdes Apartments (Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif.), 1971". I've left out a couple of the color photos and all of the black & white ones. The image below was originally portrait, but seemed to work better cropped to landscape.
One of the entrances.
This is roughly halfway down the side of the complex seen in the first image.
I'll finish with an arty shot of the roofs.

The apartments still appear fairly isolated in the 1980 aerial view at Historic Aerials, with no additional buildings around them. That had changed by 1994. The field in the foreground of the first Shulman image became a golf course as recently as sometime between 2005 and 2009. The apartments themselves remain virtually unchanged, at least from the outside. GSV shows the name "Villas at Rancho Palos Verdes" (below) on the signage at 6600 Beachview Drive, but a little Googling suggests that the name has changed again, this time to "Avana Rancho Palos Verdes".
