Back to football:
Rob Ford’s sobriety coach kicked shirtless protester: Toronto police officer

Waiting for Doug Ford to pipe up with his claims of a global jihad against the fabulous ford bros.

Somebody needs to make a donkey kong meme with rob ford at the top shooting down barrels of booze and crack pipes at the reporters struggling to ask him questions.

I find this whole shirtless protest movement brilliant.

This won't come as a shock to anyone. Rob Ford's a class act. If this were another era he would be Bif from Back to the Future.

Well, it's a safety issue. Standing up is a big deal for someone of Rob Ford's physique, he's liable to pass out and that could pose a hazard for those unfortunate enough to be nearby.

he must have a bull's heart, though. cocaine and its derivatives are hell on the ticker, and can leave even the most robust guys feeling a little fluttery and panicked come end-of-night. to pull what he does as a giant, 400-pound ham-person is pretty extraordinary.

Rob Ford’s rehab ‘buddy’ is a ‘liar,’ Doug Ford says after revealing interview with woman arrested in mayor’s SUV

Quote:
LeeAnne McRobb, told the Toronto Sun, that Sandro Lisi, the mayor’s friend who is awaiting trial on drug charges, gave her directions so she could pick up Ford’s Escalade in early May.
from the comments:
Quote:
It is easy to tell when Doug is lying, if his lips move he is lying.

I like that her last name is McRobb. Reminds me of mayor McAsscrack. I also like that Rob Ford called her his 'country pumpkin'.

Mayor Rob Ford snub of World Pride defended. Councillor Doug Ford has defended the decision of Mayor Rob Ford to not join in standing ovation for World Pride.

It drives me crazy. On his own, Rob Ford is a bumbaclot on Toronto. But then there is his bully big brother too. Two for the price of one. A couple of massive piles of shit.

Ever seen poo wearing a chain?

Meet the sobriety coach hired to keep Rob Ford on track

Quote:
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s sobriety coach wants the world to know that he loves his job – even though he’s had a hard first couple of weeks at the office.

Ever since Mr. Ford’s return from rehab, Robert Marier has been glued to the mayor’s side, and he’s feeling the weight of his new, very high-profile job. The 49-year-old Montrealer, who left his wife behind in Quebec to live out of a suitcase in a Toronto hotel, began working as the mayor’s “sobriety coach” just two weeks ago. Since then, he’s been thrust into the spotlight of the media – including an accusation that he kicked a protester, which he denies – all the while entrusted with the responsibility of keeping the chief magistrate of Canada’s largest city on track in his recovery.
He left his wife behind to spend time with the malodorous marinating mayor...live out of a suitcase in a hotel, subjected to the media microscope....AND "HE LOVES HIS JOB???"

What do they say about alcoholics? Denial is a powerful thing?

Ten bucks says this coach will eventually be pulled over at 2am driving Ford's Escalade under suspicious circumstances.

It’s tempting, but reporters can’t ignore the Ford-nado

Quote:
Whenever Rob Ford says or does something outrageous – which is to say, most days – people ask the same thing. Why don’t you just ignore him? The media only gives him oxygen. Stop covering him. That will fix his wagon.

Why even bother to report it when he pulls an obnoxious stunt like sitting through an ovation for the organizers of WorldPride? Hasn’t he already made his feelings abundantly clear? Or why not just boycott him when he holds an invitation-only press conference and refuses to take questions?

[...]

Asking reporters to stop covering him is like asking a weather forecaster to stop covering thunderstorms. You never know when there is going to be another Ford-nado. What will he say next? What will he do, or admit to have done? Even his sobriety coach’s foot makes news.

Mr. Ford is the subject of countless “Have you seen the latest? Can you believe it?” water-cooler chats and dinner party conversations. You can bet that many of those who write in calling for a Ford boycott have followed every move of his snakes-and-ladders journey.
If only somebody could drop a (big) house on Rofo and Dofo.
