I might be the lone one to say that I actually may like this one better than the last. The design in a way makes it look like 3 different buildings in one which I believe may have been their intended goal. But ofcourse We missed out on what was originally suppose to go here which I think may have been the best design for the site.

I really wish people would cut it out with the "oh its so 1980s, its so Miami 1990, oh this building is so 2000s"...........with every new building LA gets. For a skyline lacking architecture from a lot of the eras. I think A good diversity from each era, as long as its done in a good way, is good for LA. Would any of you really be upset if a modern version of an art deco type building like the Chrysler building were proposed here ?? nope

I find it funny how everybody talked about the DLANC meeting as though it already happened. It was today and just ended 2 hours ago.

I actually thought the building looked quite nice in the pictures they showed. I don't know if it is higher quality than the ones on here. Here are the main takeaways.

The mid-rise will break in about October and the high rise 4 months later.

The tall building will be halfway teh size between the Gas Company building and Title Guarantee building. It will be glass on the side of GCB and white stuff on the side of the title building, so it will kind of build a bridge between the buildings.

The main part of the highrise facing Pershing square will have large balconies attached to the living room. The idea is to make your living room part of the outside and connect to Pershing.

There was more random stuff that I copied down, but I don't think it is as interesting as that stuff.

Seven-story component of Park Fifth scheduled for April groundbreaking

313 apartments and 7,000 square feet of retail space. Also to be accompanied by a $50-million renovation of Pershing Square. No word on the 24-story tower.

Looking at the rendering, it seems that the Library tower needs to go on a diet. It's too bad this site hasn't generated some more exciting or higher profile design...imo
