MELBOURNE | 25 Queensbridge St - The Falls | 236m | 71L

heh, developers are wasting no time.

Prima-Pearl is well U/C, Queensbridge Tower going for approval next door and FWP already built with one more site to the south of the entire block, if all go ahead, it'll probably become the most densely populated block in Australia - ~2000 apartments - 2000-3000 people (the block measures ~150m along Queensridge, ~150m along City Road, ~120m along Power St and ~160-170m along Southbank Blvd).

This is the blue site (pic from the Queensbridge Tower thread)

the last remaining is BMW Melbourne showroom - white building down the bottom - easily accomodate another 200m monster.

le bump.

It'll be interesting to see if this is approved without any dramatic changes now that Queensbridge Tower literally next door has been approved with minimal changes.

a little bit of a design change

but regardless.

If this and Queensbridge tower go ahead, that'll be: 276m (Queensbridge), 254m (Prima now U/C), 205m (existing 1FWP) & 230m on one block

That is going to be some sick very tall density for a small piece of Melbourne.

Got some nice looking stuff going up in Melbourne. I like the way the skyline spreads out. Different than Sidney. What about the "Carrelton Brewery" site? Hows that progressing?

Planning Minister Matthew Guy approved The Falls less than a month ago, rationalising its size with his strategy to make Melbourne a 24-hour city. Industry sources say an advertisement seeking a buyer for the site was delivered shortly after approval.
Interestingly, the site is also being marketed as a hotel redevelopment opportunity. The vendor paid $11.45 million in 2001.
