The Nas tune is addictive. Golden age hip-hop in the US, really. We have a girl whose parents are from Martinique who grew up in Rouen, Normandy over here. She's been completely traumatized by racism in her childhood, now living northern Paris. Then she could reach that higher level later in the 00s. The resutling French-speaking hip-hop is wonderfully outrageous, rebellious and offensive. I like her insulting hip-hop style a lot. I'm not the kind of guy to be an easy fan, huh, but sometimes some deserve respect. She'll be my Paris anthem.

Nah that one doesn't get you motivated. Only sleepy. The NAS and Ja Rule clips are dynamic and punchy. Which is the feeling when your in the city. On a move, chaotic, and crazy.

Although the rush hour anthem of NYC should be this.

I'll set the setting: You realize that you have to go from 66th to 33rd, its 5 p.m. on a Friday, gridlock everywhere, ambulances and firetrucks in the proximity and they aren't moving because nobody cares, the Nation of Islam and Black Israelites preaching hate and lots of jay walking occurs, and you have to be there in 10 minutes.

So you do everything in your power to get there. Get out of your car and run dodging slow walking tourists, speedy business people and shoppers, and running around MTA buses that block the box. Meanwhile this subconsciously plays in your head.

When I think of Boston, I think of Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline."

"Sweet Home Chicago" and the Blues Brothers are great choices for Chicago. Really love that movie and their version of the song.

Kevin, SRV is a very good choice for Austin. How about "Texas Flood," especially on nights like last Halloween? CenTex is the flash flood capital of the world, so it fits.
