Shaughnessy Village, where I once worked/lived.

wikipedia

This neighbourhood is the most densely populated area of Quebec, due to the large number of high-rise apartment slabs built in the 1960s and 1970s

the gentrification of Griffintown will boost and broaden the density in the inner city.

Did you know that Griffintown is/was the the oldest working-class neighborhood in North America , and the first planned city grid in North America ?

45,000 in 1847
800 in 1971
6,446 in 2011 (2006-2011) +67.3%
12,000 in 2016 ? (2011-2016) + % ?

4,920.6/km2 in 2011, well over 9000

Griffontown reminds me a lot of Liberty Village though with less stuff to do. Mind you it's been almost 2 years since my stay at the Alt.

Are these pictures from the roof deck of 2250 Guy?

(Oh yeah, I almost forgot: what can I pay you to change your little graphic, it gives me a headache, amongst other things, every time I scroll on by?)

I vividly remember a September evening standing on Ann Street in Griffintown in 1997. It was like Detroit, looming and red and quiet.

I kind of liked it, actually – the wind would blow and it was solemn and spoke to time's passing, but the current set-up is of course better.
