Heheh.

I've lived in Vancouver, Richmond, Kelowna and Osoyoos (BC); London (Ontario), Edmonton (Alberta), Montreal (Quebec...hometown/birthplace), Kirkland and Beaconsfield (Quebec), and Marseilles (France).

Here is the most part of what is now the borough of Fleurimont (the "historic" suburb of Fleurimont is behind the hill), as it can be seen from downtown Sherbrooke. By the way, there is a river in this picture. Can you see it?

Not much has changed since I took this one nearly a decade ago already...

(actually, there's been quite a bit of change, but one has to pay close attention to facades on King St to realize it)

^ That's a great shot. I remember taking a course on Western Civilization in Cegep, and going on a field trip to Place d'Armes because of the diverse architecture from various periods of Montreal's history. Looks even better since they renovated the square.

A tip for anyone visiting the area: make a point of going inside the old Bank of Montreal head office on the left. Quite an impressive building.

I stayed at the Place d'Armes hotel right on the corner 3 weeks ago. Never really think to just walk into these older buildings for some reason but I'll be sure to check it out next time.
