Pettersson, Hughes, Miller are the top 3 in NHL scoring, all tied for first with 26 points. Hughes is the best player in the league so far this season. Even Boeser is tied for 1st in goals, thanks to playing with Miller mostly. We got 2 elite lines going right now. Miller seems to be getting better as he ages. He’s like Marchand, except not as big a tool.

Yes I know it’s not sustainable, and they will even out a bit (now that we have a few injuries), but so will other teams so they could conceivably make good run at 1st in the Pacific.

I just bought tickets to the Vancouver vs San Jose game next Monday. It'll be my wife's first ever NHL game. I'm super excited.

I was at the NYI-VAN game last night. They didn't even play well for some sections but managed the win. Hughes is unreal: skating, puck handling, passing, location on the ice. The OT goal was a masterclass.

Does that qualify as an NHL game with SJ involved ?

Oh, ok - makes sens then

I was at the Flames - Canucks game tonight and I don’t think I’ve seen the Flames look that good in 18 months. Something about the Canucks seems to bring out the best in the Flames.
Anyway, I’ll enjoy it for the night as it might be the high point of the Flames season.

^very much so; they always play Van harder than almost anyone and looked they had a bit of fight in them.

Oilers Tampa from yesterday.

Terrible giveaways, positioning and 0/5 on the PP... come on now.

Also, TB is very good on the PP.

Up 2-0 and lose 5-3 with pretty good play by our call up goaltender.

Drai looks lost and missed two open nets.

McD - 2Gs and did about everything that he could.

The rest of the team looked like shit.

0-3 on the PP and 0-8 on the last run of those things.

Time is running out on the season and other things.

I was at the Canucks game tonight. Rough 1st period, much better 2nd, and a dominate 3rd.

Prince Harry dropping the puck was a twist I didn't see coming.

^ She did.
It's been a long time since I've been to a game as well, so the spectacle wasn't wasted on me either.

Quinn Hughes alone in 1st place in league scoring. Not since Bobby Orr has a d man led the league in scoring this far into the season. Best player on the planet right now.

As good as Quinn has been playing I’m still not convinced he’s at the level of best player in the planet. Hell i still have trouble putting him over Makar as the best dman in the league right now.

Tbh with the way Jack’s been playing when healthy, I don’t think he’s even the best player in his own family…

Also, something that’s gone unnoticed is that the 2 leading NHL goal scorers are Americans both playing on Canadian teams. With one of them being Kyle Connor who’s been the most underrated player in the NHL for the last 3 seasons.
