I think you underestimate how much money some movie stars have...

Valid point there. The highest paid actor for a single film. Keanu Reeves Matrix Reloaded 126 Million just for reference.

In addition to Matrix Reloaded he was the voice of Neo in several video games, was in Matrix Revolutions, and was in Something's Gotta Give ALL IN 2003.

It's not just celebrities. Tribeca is one of the most popular neighborhoods in Manhattan, period. With good reason. It's got a great vibe. If I was ever to move back, I'd either live there or the West Village. As beautiful as these towers are, most full-time residents don't choose to live in Midtown full-time. Downtown Manhattan and the Upper East or West Side feel much more like neighborhoods. Certainly it's not universally true, but large swathes of these condos on Billionaires Row are owned by the internationally wealthy, and they spend little time in them because they have homes all over the world.

Ok guys, I don't want to have to clean up a whole thread. The topic is 111 West 57th Street, not how much money celebrities earn or where the live.

I think this tower, in the 2-way supertall race will top out before CPT tops out. Its moving quite rapidly.

So the side facing Central Park won't be cladded with the terra-cotta?

Its on the sides. So the side facing the park glass, the side facing downtown glass. Its going to look epic from the East/West perspective. The glass compliments the amazing crown in which all the detail will be profound North/South.

The glass facades on the north and south are for the open views, the terra-cotta walls are the support walls.

That facade is gorgeous! We're finally seeing depth and detail in architecture that isn't of the neo styles.
