Congratulations to Dougall5505. We might have to institute the winner can't enter rule, but it seems with summer the entries have gotten pretty slim.

The entrants.

Maybe you should post an invitation in other SSP's forums...

Next contest?

I'm hopeful that a week or so without a contest running will have peaked interest. I'm thinking it's just summer doldrums really.

I'm also throwing around the idea of making the contest a monthly endeavour. Start of the month for posting the new contest, a couple of weeks for entries and then a week of voting.

Anyone got some ideas on that? We could try it over the summer anyway. One for July, one for August. Thoughts?

.

well i agree that a long runner would be better. Its just like the comps in googlesketch up section ....they barley get 5 or 6 entries ,its down to people being busy or gone somewhere at different times of the year etc
...and the i cant really be bothered mode.

But anyhow its the summer people are out and i know at least one or twice a month i get n the car and drive..and bring my camera..so for me a montly comp with 3 or 4 pics per entry of some outside activity, trip, destination..

I'm not really sure why we're thinking of changing how often we do this contest. I mean, sure... it might be light for one contest or another. But it's not like you're only getting two postings. I'd say don't change anything. I like the way it's going. I like the frequency. And I like the overall format and interest it generates from some very good photographers.
