That's great news and not surprising because this project has had good mojo since it was announced.
But the last building permit requests online indicate that the city is still waiting for updates, and demolition still needs to be done on the site.

It would be nice if we could see the latest renderings.

Maybe they are doing a "traditional" groundbreaking...one where they break ground prior to any actual start of construction?!? As you probably already are aware, there is no written rule as to when a groundbreaking must/should take place.

Both 99 Trinity and the Fairmont are now scheduled to break ground September / October.

After closing the site and putting up those huge billboards, it seems odd that they would wait that long before Fairmont gets going.

Interesting. Thank you. I wonder if they will break ground in June and begin raising the current structures with all out development beginning this coming fall?!? Otherwise, I have no clue as to why Nate Paul would have been promoting a June 2014 groundbreaking at a local CRE symposium last month...

How deep are they going to dig down for Fairmont? It would make sense to start digging in June.

Hopefully we can get the latest rendering for 99 Trinity on here soon.

42' down for four parking levels at the Fairmont. See thread with elevations.

I'm really anxious for this one to start because it won't be too long before the Seaholm Residences and the Green Water Residential Tower will be the only two big projects (300'+) rising. The last permit activity was on May 16 which was the approval of an 180 day extension (to November 14) to comply with the city's update requests to the site plan.

Dare I say things are winding down for the time being?

I think it's just a minor slowdown. Nothing to be concerned about as this typical happens during boom times.

The city is overloaded at this time...which will lead to delays. Also, things always slow down during the summer.

I'm not sure what to make of this. But a food trailer park is going in on Cesar Chavez at the site of 99 Trinity. There is only one trailer there now, but quite a few tables with umbrellas are being installed this morning. It looks like more than just a fly by night parking spot for a food trailer. As far as I know 99 Trinity is still supposed to break ground in November.

I checked for anything related to 99 Trinity Tower since Hill Country mentioned this morning they were setting up a food trailer park. Anyway, they have the site plans with the elevations listed at the link below, but no heights included. It does show it from all sides, though. I would assume once it gets approval that the plans with the elevations (heights) will be released.

You should make nothing of it. The trailer is on another property (owned by Perry Lorenz) and is not associated with the 99 Trinity project.

It is separate, one-third acre property, between World Class' 99 Trinity site and Sutton's Waller Center site.
