Quebec City

Columbus Day weekend? Time to sneak one last mini-road trip in before winter.
Let's check out le Ville de Quebec away from the Old City.

Heading north, Connecticut River Valley, NH

All manner of foliage going on

-
Into Quebec, Canada
-

Lunch break at Lac Aylmer, QC

Northward

A quick stop in the city of Victoriaville

St. Lawrence River.

near Leclercville, QC

near Lotbiniere

Into Quebec City, St-Roch/Basse-Ville neighborhood

Things seemed pretty quiet, which might be due to the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. The streets were brilliantly free of cars.

Rue du Roi

Quebc City, est. 1608

Stairs up to Haute-Ville (Upper City)

Rue de l'Eglise

Up the stairs

Laurentian Mtns

Cote d'Abraham - Rue St-Real

Side streets of Haute-Ville

blurry, but I liked it

Rue de la Tourelle

Rue Ste-Olivier

Rue St-Jean, the main drag

Boul. Rene-Levesque, near the tourist area.

Is this the legislature? I have no idea.

Around the Lower City again

Rue de la Salle

Southwest up the St. Lawrence

Next up: The industrial workhorse of Quebec

awesome tour man... I love the nighttime narrow street shots... and the Quebec countryside is so bucolic... I want some cheese now

Great pictures of some of Quebec City's other neighborhoods. The pictures of Victoriaville were a nice addition, as well; I've wondered what that place and some of the other QMJHL cities and towns look like.

Thank you so much for this thread! As a resident of Quebec City, I need to comment on how refreshing it is to see a QC thread without a single photo taken of Vieux Québec. You did a wonderful job capturing St-Roch, Basse-Ville and Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

The building is indeed the Legislature of Quebec or Assemblée Nationale (National Assembly).

Killer thread, thanks man! This is the first time I've seen anything outside the touristy areas of Quebec City.

Reminds me alot of it's adjacent American cousins (not the city, the farmland).

Well done.

Great pics! I think Canadian cities tend to appear more European than American cities that have their own thing going on, but I really like it just the same
