How many people ride Quebec Metrobus

Does anyone know how many daily riders Quebec City's METROBUS routes carry?
I have heard two figures for the 800/801. One says just over 20,000 riders a day. And the other almost 50,000 a day.

Anyone know???

The two Métrobus routes are used by 38% of RTC customers, who use the system 49 500 times on an average weekday. Annually, this represents more than 15 million passengers.

On the whole, the reliability rate of the Métrobus is 88% on weekdays. The service is considered reliable when the time interval between two departures equals its predicted time, with a two-minute margin of error. The Métrobus lines perform better than standard buses. They also have the largest ridership, with about 93 boarding per client-service hour, compared to 70 for the regular and 54 for the Express services.

Despite its reliability, speed and capacity, some problems persist, for the Métrobus is regularly overloaded. Its maximum load travelling in one direction varies from 1000 to 1100 users, while theoretically it should not exceed 800 people. The addition of more departures during rush hour increases the number of bus trains (three or more buses travelling in a row) along the routes, slowing down the circuit. Finally, according to a survey taken in 2001, 62% of car drivers respected the reserved lanes, depending largely on the time of day and direction of travel.

I got that one. However it has two figures. 38% of 60,000 or so people who use RTC each day works out to around 20,000. However in a nother part of that report, it says that METROBUS 800/801 move 15 million riders a year, which works out to almost 50,000 riders a day.

Quebec City's Metrobus is the most used system of public transportation in the Greater Quebec County. in 2008 its ridership is estimated to reach up to 86,666 users a day. According a binding report by the UCO these figures might change depending on if the Parizeau institute agrees to sign the META international understanding on public use of urban transportation. Furthermore according to a CROMAQ (centre de recherches et d'organisation du metrobus automatique de Quebec) report the ridership issue has been deemed by the populace and the tri-government council to be "irrelevent" in nature and "obsolete" in practice. The CRETUS independent panel on the use of public transport by welfare families and philosophy majors has revealed that the number estimated by the 2008 UCO report to be anything but apt. In the case of Sebastien Gendron, head of the panel more funds and staff are needed in order to finalize the report. The consensus among the UCO, CROMAQ and the CRETUS has however hinted that the Quebec City Metrobus will see a slight rise in ridership, but not nearly enough to make its effective rate reach 100%.
