A good way to see the smaller airports in the metro is to do a search on YouTube. For example, to see the West Houston Airport, search for something like "landing at West Houston Airport". There are many videos of that. I've probably seen them all. The approach to the runway looks cool from the cockpit when the planes land over the golf course. Lots of greenery and trees around the airport, too.

I agree, great location for a downtown museum. It does look like Bullock Texas History Museum in Austin!

Is Houston the only city in the state experiencing cost inflation of this magnitude? At least we aren't running out of water...

Austin is ridiculous now. It's an "it" city drawing people who want to live there and becoming waay out of reach for many.

Yes. I was there a weekend or two ago. Horrible.

I'm paying nearly $10,000 in property taxes in Austin for a small, ordinary 1400 ft2 house in a mediocre neighborhood. Of course, the house is worth a fortune so if I sell and move to a cheaper city somewhere...

It's a huge quality of life issue in Austin, causing people to start talking about leaving, because the benefits of living here aren't compensating for those who aren't here to drink and party. Even five years ago things were fairly tolerable.

This being the Houston development thread, I guess we should get back to it, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents since the question came up.

This. Here's an update from the HBJ, sounds like it may be scrapped for something else now.

I hadn't heard about it until I saw the large sign on the site yesterday. The sign is still up, complete with render and all.

Doesn't mean much, I doubt this boutique office goes up this year. Too much office space hitting the market.

Send them from your phone to your computer (by email or USB) and upload them using an image-hosting site such as Flickr or Photobucket.
