Now, this is part 3 of my south-east asian cities series! This thread covers Phnom Penh, the capital and largest city of Cambodia. This city has been to hell and back in the 70s, during the Khmer Rouge genocide. Nowadays, the scars of the past are less evident, and the whole place seems to be booming!
This tour covers pretty much the whole city, the center as well as the outlying neighbourhoods. It was so much fun to ride a bicycle in this chaos that i could'nt resist to explore the outskirts!
Here goes :
Thanks for watching! Coming up next : Ho Chi Minh City.
Beautiful! Like a mix of simple/poor and modern. Guess it will be more of the modern in the future, just like in China and Vietnam. Anyway, underrated city.
Your tour brought back great memories of my trip to Phnom Penh 4 years ago. Barely controlled chaos with friendly people and great food is what comes to mind, good times. Boy was it hot and sultry the hotel's pool got used let me tell you.
Thanks for bringing back the memories.
