Started in 1987, Dragon*Con is a "convention for fans of science fiction, fantasy, horror, science, animation, films, art, comics and gaming". Its held in Atlanta every Labor Day weekend. http://www.dragoncon.org/

Been there, done that, rode MARTA and toured the High Museum with my friend who was wearing a dress that would have done Queen Elizabeth I proud.
