Anyone know or care to speculate what the order of crane removal will be? I'd speculate that the east crane would be removed first so that the workplace area can be completed, then the west side and then the core; but one of the key points might be whether the core crane has enough height such that it can complete the spire or does the west crane need to complete the job. It seems like the core crane has enough height to get most of the spire.

I love the gif above! But the roof height is at least 1 or 2 above the comcast floors, and the core tower is over the cc crown.

Also is anyone else excited how we are now at the most exciting part, or starting to at least?

Saw it from an airplane today as we were landing in Philly. It's really a monster - seems way bigger than it appeared in the renders. Going to look great when complete.

CITC = NBC Tower in Chicago?

My apologies if this was already posted. I was in Chicago over the weekend and couldn't help but notice their NBC Tower's resemblance to the CITC. I'm assuming it's intentional given Comcast's ownership of NBCUniversal?

Also, how much taller will the CITC's roof be over the Comcast Tower? The antenna in the rendering looks to be ~100 ft (complete guess), which means the roof would only crest the Comcast Tower by a story or two?

The sky lobby roof won't be higher than the top of the Comcast tower. From the top of the sky lobby roof to the top of the spire will be about 210 ft. The exposed cooling tower portion is about 84 ft tall.

Good observation and probably somewhat correct as NBC Tower in Chicago is referencing 30 Rockefeller center which is also where NBC studios is in NYC. There's definitely a theme here.

Is it too late to hope for a rotating peacock on the finial/spire?

It's NEVER too late--after all, it was Comcast that finally got it put on 30 Rock after 8 1/2 decades without it:

Where would they even put a third Comcast tower? I know they own a lot across the street but a skyscraper there would look clunky and block CITC

It would only block CITC from some angles if placed in the lot you are thinking of. But that's not really their concern anyway. Why would it look clunky?
