Driving around today, I noticed the Time Auto lot on the NE corner of Lamar & 10th has been closed. I'm curious to see what eventually pops up there.

Anyone have more details on this one? The site has been cleared and it looks ready to go.

7East update

Streetlights Residential's website has detailed plans uploaded allowing contractors to bid on the deal. Hopefully they have already picked someone and can get it moving soon.

Here are numerous shots from this weekend...

From Joe's Crab Shack. There were some kids casually hanging out on the unfinished boardwalk.

From the I-35 northbound frontage road

From southeast Austin

A bit of a canyon effect emerging on 3rd Street

From Robertson Hill

Those canyon and density shots are amazing. We are definitely filling in some gaps.

If you thought Austin has grown up too much in the last couple of years and you don't recognize the downtown anymore---and I'm not getting into a political/commercial growth discussion right now----but fucking A----lube up your taint 'cause you ain't gonna fucking believe this. And what's more---the bitch is all but funded.

I don't think he is.

You just don't trust him because he's a Longhorn.

From the quote he made over on Shaggy Bevo, he sounds like he got a virtual tour of what the area will look like. I'll be all hyped up if I saw there plans as well.

If this is already public info, then why don't we know what he's spewing on about?

Well, he was the one that knew about Magellan before any news site did. So that's where I got my faith in him.

And don't read that much into his language. It's the Shag. That's how everyone talks.

I didn't read his quote to mean he saw something new. I do think he probably saw the plans for the Energy Control Tower and the rest of GWTP or something. Who was it on this site that said there would be an announcement about ECC soon?

Maybe he works with the City? I don't know.

Maybe you're right about him. But we'll see soon enough. I enjoy his posts. I don't lose sleep over them or anything, so it's all in good fun.

I love how the Marriott makes the two old two story buildings look so tiny. Almost like toys.
