Do any of y'all watch the Just Kidding Films youtube channels? I picked them up a couple years ago, then took a break a year ago, and have picked it back up lately. While I wasn't watching, one of the main guys got a g/f in Austin. Last September, he came here to visit her and he does vlogs. Here's one he did here.

Video Link

There are a couple others from the trip where they eat at Gus's and Halal Bros, and go hiking on the Greenbelt.

It's a schtick. It's not for everyone. I just liked seeing Austin through different eyes. And he has an enormous following from all over the world.

Amazing to see the skyline changes and so many more changes to come for this view in the next few years - http://specials.mystatesman.com/acl-skyline/

My current desktop. The fact that this is only showing part of Downtown is amazing. The fact that this view will be so much more awesome in three years is even more amazing.

That is an awesome photo. Even though it is tiny in the photo, I think my favorite thing is Spring in the background against the hills. Shows how far dowtown stretches in that direction. Kind of reminds me of Las Vegas. It's a view that will just get more spectacular with the Independent.

That owner has disabled downloading of their photos, unfortunately... I want it as my background as well.

There is a way around that. If you have Google Chrome, right click on the image. Scroll down to "inspect". That will open up a box at the bottom of the screen with a bunch of technical mumbo jumbo. Inside of that box there will be two jpg links, one for the small size and one for the large size. Copy and paste the link address into your browser's location bar. Those will be jpg files instead of html files.

Also, you should still be able to download it in whatever size you want. You may not be able to right click and save as usual, but as soon as you put your cursor over the image, three little symbols show up in the bottom right next to the photo. The third symbol is to download it. Click that, and it'll say "view all sizes" - that takes you to a second page with all links to the different sizes. Now, you can't actually right click and save the image, but you can right click and "inspect" on those. Then you can grab the jpg link and paste it into another location bar.

This one is 884x1600

"Saturday Night in Austin." A ~5 minute video from Atlantic Monthly. It's a pretty cool depiction of what makes Austin Austin, but it hints at the troubles on the horizon.

Sorry for the size change but I got a new phone and still need to work on resizing. This one does show some changes!

Does anyone have a solid dual-monitor resolution picture for a desktop background? I really want mine to be Austin's skyline, but the internet has failed me...
