Where exactly is this building going? I'm assuming it's not taking over the surface parking lot for Lone Star Court, but that's where the address takes me.
Haha, yeah that's what I found. Odd since lots on either side of the street are developed already...and I don't see new construction coming down for this new development.
According to local paper Community Impact, The Kalantari Group—a developer comes to Texas by way of California and seems so far to have focused on suburban areas such as Lakeline Mall and Leander in the Austin area—will break ground July 1 on a four-story mixed-use building at 6500 Burnet Road, to be called Sixty Five. Plans are for the building to have 52 residential units and 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, reports Community Impact.

This is from the Domain Tower brochure, same place the above picture came from. It shows the location of both the apartment building and the office building which will be built on the Domain 45 parking lot. The reason the parking garages are so large is because these two developments have to replace the parking spaces that they will eliminate by being built on Domain 45's surface lot in addition to providing parking for themselves.

AusTx I've been going nuts for months trying to discern where Flatiron was actually destined to go, so just a personal thank you for resolving that for me...I can sleep now haha

That's the flood control pond. Currently NOT as scenic as the rendering makes it out to be.
Yes, not even close. And there's one tree on that strip of land in between, not the forest depicted in that rendering. This is what it looks like in Google Earth. https://www.google.com/maps/@30.4043...!3m1!1e3?hl=en
Edited to add: I do like the buildings tho. Nice to have some height outside of downtown.
Those are nice. I remember The ATX posting a while back that Domain 11 was mentioned in one document as being 235 feet tall. Assuming the heights stay the same, Domain 12 could be as tall as 266 feet. That would make it our 37th tallest at the moment and one spot higher than Skyhouse Austin.

I checked the Domain 11 site plan, and some info (but no elevations) has been added to it. The building is referenced as 235' with ground floor retail. That's decent height for that area. As a comparison, Rise is 235' tall.
